Comprehensive Eye Imaging with B-Scan
When we need a clear look at what's happening inside your eye, even when your view is obstructed, we rely on a B-scan ultrasound. This diagnostic exam helps us see through conditions like dense cataracts or bleeding to get a full picture of your eye's health.
This painless procedure involves a small probe that rests on your closed eyelid, providing your doctor with the detailed, two-dimensional images needed to make an accurate diagnosis.
It's a key part of our comprehensive care for conditions that affect the back of the eye, such as:
This will also help your doctor to determine any preventive eye care measures that are relevant to keep your eyes healthier.
- Retinal detachments
- Vitreous hemorrhage
- Eye injuries
Visual Acuity
A visual acuity test is the part of an eye exam where you read a letter chart to see how clearly you can see at a distance. It’s a simple, quick way for your doctor to measure the sharpness of your vision..
The results of this test indicate your overall visual clarity and help your doctor determine if you need further testing to find the best way to correct your vision.
It is a valuable screening tool, but it doesn't give you a prescription for glasses or contacts..
- Uncover your central vision acuity with our eye chart test
- Detailed assessment of your vision sharpness
- Expert interpretation of your vision acuity results
Refraction
Those who do not have 20/20 (6/6) vision have what is referred to in most cases as a “Refractive Error.” The patient may have near-sightedness (myopia) farsightedness (hypermetropia), astigmatism or other eye conditions that prevent the patient from seeing 20/20 (6/6).
So refraction procedure is performed by an optometrist to identify type of refractive error and to identify which prescription lenses will correct your eyesight to achieve 20/20 (6/6) vision or whichever amount your vision is correctable to.
- Identifying refractive errors for personalized eye care
- Tailored lens prescriptions for clearer vision
- Expert guidance for optimal eye health
Eye Movements (Ocular motility) Tests
In order to see clearly and comfortably, your eyes need to work or move together as a team.
An eye specialist will perform ocular motility test as part of your comprehensive eye exam to assess if your eyes are well-aligned and move together without limitation.
- Assessing eye alignment and coordination for optimal vision
- Identifying eye movement disorders for timely treatment
- Expert guidance for maintaining healthy eye movement
Slit Lamp Test
The slit lamp test is performed using an eye equipment called Slit lamp biomicroscope, an instrument that allows the doctor to examine the internal and external parts of the eye in detail. An eye specialist (ophthalmologist) will explain clearly how this test is done.
A slit lamp test enables the doctor to evaluate the eyes for signs of normal aging and eye pathology, such as conjunctivitis, cataracts, macular degeneration or retinal detachment. Remember, early diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases are essential for preventing vision loss.
- Unearthing hidden eye conditions with our slit lamp test
- Early detection of eye diseases for timely intervention
- Preserving vision through expert eye examinations
